What will this circuit do after we have connected it to the "juice"?


Now - the current will go by the coil and the contact (or viceversa - there is no definition!)...
but -
immediately the coil makes the core magnetic - that will pull down the contact and -
interrupt the current!


By that the electromagnet will loose its magenetism, the switch goes back - and all will start by the beginning!...

You might say: "It never knows what to do...
the principle is/was in use for buzzers, electric bells; it is called "Wagner's Hammer".
Of course it would not fit to store anything!
